​To put it simply, Secret Macbeth is Shakespeare’s Macbeth without the character of Macbeth. When King Duncan of Scotland is murdered, two local detectives set out to discover who the culprit is. While they quickly come to the conclusion that Macbeth committed the crime, that leads them to a larger problem: where is Macbeth? According to their interviews, nobody, not even his wife, has ever seen Macbeth. And yet, everything he does in the original Shakespeare keeps happening. So what’s going on? It’s up to them to find out.
